Harbin, February 14, 2025 – Saudi Arabia officially received the Olympic Council of Asia's flag, marking the handover for hosting the 10th Asian Winter Games in Trojena, NEOM. This makes Saudi Arabia the first West Asian nation to host the prestigious event.
The ceremony took place during the closing event of the 9th Asian Winter Games at the Harbin International Conference Exhibition and Sports Center. His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, accepted the flag from Mr. Timothy Tsun Ting FOK, Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia.
Unveiling the NEOM 2029 Logo
During the ceremony, the official logo for the NEOM Asian Winter Games was revealed. The design reflects:
- The majestic mountains of NEOM, representing strength and ambition.
- The letter "A," symbolizing both the Asian Winter Games and the mountainous landscape.
- Textures inspired by NEOM’s futuristic vision, embodying progress and innovation.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal welcomed all participating Asian nations, assuring them of an exceptional experience in NEOM 2029.
He stated:
"The Kingdom is undergoing a major transformation in the sports sector, guided by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. This has positioned Saudi Arabia as a prime destination for global and continental sporting events."
